WorldChanging
is a solutions-based online magazine that works from
a simple premise: that the tools, models and ideas
for building a better future lie all around us. That
plenty of people are working on tools for change,
but the fields in which they work remain
unconnected. That the motive, means and opportunity
for profound positive change are already present.
That another world is not just possible, it's here.
We only need to put the pieces together.

Centre
for Alternative Technology
(Wales) offer solutions to some of the most serious challenges
facing our planet and the human race, such as climate change,
pollution and the waste of precious resources. Theydemonstrate
practical ways of addressing these problems. Leading by example,
we aim to show that living more sustainably is not only easy to
attain but can provide a better quality of life. They address
every aspect of the average lifestyle - the key areas are
renewable energy, environmental building, energy efficiency,
organic growing and alternative sewage systems.

Path to Freedom Let's face it. Our world is in deep, deep trouble and we are
the "troublemakers." We have to make real, difficult changes yesterday. Despite the obvious benefits, we are not going to
recycle, compost, or talk our way out of this. Our leaders, being
politicians, are not leaders at all but are bound to be followers, who
just won't be there for us in a crisis. So, it's up to me and you to
make the choice of becoming responsible stewards of the earth. Let's
turn the world right side up as demonstrated through this website. Join
us on our journey towards a sustainable present and future. Let's walk
the path to freedom.

LoveFoodHateWaste
Even
those who don't care about the ethics of food
wasting are thinking thrifty, thanks to skyrocketing
food prices. LoveFoodHateWaste pitches in with
recipes that help you make use of food that might
otherwise go bad. Need to use up some parsnips? Got
some cottage cheese you'll never finish? Tell LFHW
what you've got on hand, and the site suggests
recipes that'll help you clean out your fridge and
save money at the same time. We especially like the
Rescue Recipes for foods that are already a bit past
their best, like veggies that are "on the turn" or
bread that's gotten a bit stale.

Transition Energy
The
Alliance to Save Energy believes that with just a few
adjustments, society will make the jump from unlimited
oil consumption to sustainable economies based on
improved energy efficiency. But greater energy
efficiency, fuel saving technologies and the
installation of minor adjustments in our daily
lifestyles will not solve the coming oil crunch.
Renewable green energy sources can help reduce pollution
and dependence on petroleum products.

Vertical Algae biofuel Growing At Least 20,000 gal of Algae Oil from one acre annually!
Check out this video...... We don't have to use our food
to produce fuel!! A mere one-tenth of the surface of New
Mexico would be enough with this new, simple,
environmentally-friendly technology to produce enough
energy for the entire United States!
-
Vertical Vegetable Growing Systems --- they are
still in the process of testing and improving their
Algae biofuel technology... "The research and
development team of Valcent Products Inc. has now
completed twelve months of the algae vertical bioreactor
development program. During a 90-day continual
production test, algae was being harvested at an average
of one gram (dry weight) per liter. This equates to
algae bio mass production of 276 tons of algae per acre
per year. Achieving the same biomass production rate
with an algal species having 50% lipids (oil) content
would therefore deliver approximately 33,000 gallons of
algae oil per acre per year."
